Job Description
The Project Finance Associate at New Leaf Energy will be responsible for participating in the development and financing of solar energy and energy storage projects, managing cross-functional teams, and overseeing project milestones from origination to closing. This role involves detailed analysis of project risks, communication with stakeholders, and preparation of legal transaction documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional teams to complete critical project development tasks
- Maintain checklists, schedules, and project management tools
- Lead the creation and organization of detailed data rooms
- Track inter-departmental deliverables and forecast project milestone dates
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Manage the progress of permitting, interconnection, and associated contracts
- Assist in the preparation and organization of legal transaction documents
- Assist in the drafting and negotiation of critical project contracts
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 4 years experience working in the renewable energy industry with a focus on project development and financing
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or a related field
- MBA desired
