Job Description
The Director of Accounting will oversee the accounting function at Nevados, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP, while also improving processes to support the company's growth. This role involves leading a team of accountants and requires expertise in technical accounting, preferably within the renewable energy, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting function and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Improve processes and implement financial best practices to support company growth
- Work cross-functionally to drive efficiency
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of accountants
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience with NetSuite software.
- Deep technical accounting expertise and knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in the renewable energy, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
- Proven experience in leading, developing, and managing a team of accountants.
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other potential events as needed.
