Job Description
WHAT WE OFFER
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain all phases of electrical line construction to include: underground, transmission, substations and wind farms
- Establish OSHA and customer safety requirements
- Observe and practice all safety policies and bulletins
- Plan and initiate projects
- Set towers and poles
- Maintain and repair overhead distribution or transmission lines
- String new wire or maintain old wire
- Install and maintain insulators
- Install and maintain transformers and other equipment
- Supervision of Groundmen and Apprentices
- Install and maintain underground distribution systems
- Assembly and erection of substation
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
- Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
- Essential functions of this position will be performed at a designated Company office or field location.
- ABOUT YOU
Requirements
- Technical School Lineman degree or equivalent is required
- Transmission line and substation line experience preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must presently be qualified to be a Journeyman Lineman. Documentation of completion of a journeyman lineman program is required.
- Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and groundwork with utility crews is required
- Must meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR Parts 382 and 391
- Possession of a valid Commercial driver's license Class A preferred
