Job Description
WHAT WE OFFER
Key Responsibilities
Act as a first point of contact for members of the Estimating team - Assist other members of the Estimating team with cost estimates and bid package preparation, Review and evaluate Estimating staff performance and Mentor and train Estimator Trainees and Estimators
Maintain bid log and report to corporate Estimating department
Prepare bills of material and other information for use by Purchasing
Determine constructability requirements via field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel
Coordinate with Project Management - Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency as well as data entry, Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation and Assist project management in preparing and submitting change orders
Perform risk identification and mitigation planning for estimate preparation
Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders
Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding of cost estimates
Follow-up at the end of projects to close any loops in the estimating process to include invoicing and cost tracking
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Minimum 5 years of transmission, substation, & distribution construction estimating experience
