Job Description
A Regional Asset Manager overseeing a large portfolio of solar sites, responsible for maintenance, safety, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, with a hands-on approach to site management and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a large portfolio of solar sites, overseeing maintenance, remediations, and safety.
- Coordinate and manage contractors, budgets, and production targets.
- Conduct site visits, walk sites, and assess operational performance.
- Build relationships with vendors, customers, and tenants to ensure smooth operations.
- Make decisions to resolve issues quickly and effectively to maintain site performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical testing procedures, specifically understanding what a megger test is and how to read it.
- Experience turning a wrench, tracing ground faults in the field, and familiarity with torque settings.
- Experience as a journeyman or lead technician, with the ability to manage contractors, budgets, and production targets.
- Ability to walk a site, review Preventive Maintenance (PM) reports, and assess their validity instantly.
- Experience dealing with subcontractors, maintaining professional communication, and ensuring job completion.
- Proficiency in writing clean, professional emails.
- Ability to use Excel, Outlook, and Word effectively without difficulty.
- Responsiveness, friendliness, and respectful communication, especially with tenants and onsite stakeholders.
- Commitment to keeping promises and not ghosting colleagues or stakeholders.
- Motivation to own a large portfolio of solar sites and drive performance.
- Willingness to travel, walk sites, and perform hands-on tasks when needed.
- Experience managing maintenance, remediations, budgets, and safety protocols for solar sites.
- Ability to build real relationships and make real decisions in a field or operational environment.
