Job Description
The Director of North America Transactions at LevelTen Energy will lead a team in facilitating renewable energy transactions, including Power Purchase Agreements and Tax Credit Transfer Agreements, while managing team development and customer relationships. This role requires expertise in renewable energy procurement and a strong background in PPA contracting across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate renewable energy transactions between Buyers and Sellers.
- Manage the North America-based Transaction Team, including mentorship and professional development.
- Optimize procurement processes for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Compile and present statistics and metrics to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Customer Engagement and Sales Enablement Teams for customer relationship management.
- Become an expert on LevelTen Energy software Platform and procurement tools.
- Suggest improvements for the LevelTen Platform and provide feedback on new features.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of full-time professional experience in renewable energy PPA origination, project management, and/or voluntary renewable energy procurement.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing Transactions teams.
- Deep experience in PPA contracting across multiple regions in North America.
- Fluent in renewable energy development with an understanding of primary differences across states and energy markets.
- Demonstrated ability to speak about commodity market fundamentals.
- Knowledge of North America compliance markets and Renewable Energy Certificates.
- Ability to bring a high degree of professionalism to customer discussions and instill confidence in complex negotiations purchasing decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Salesforce, project management tools Asana, Jira, or similar, and Tableau.
- Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English required.
