Job Description
The TechOps Architect at Kraken is responsible for high-level strategic and architectural decisions across the company's IT infrastructure, supporting a cloud-first environment, and helping to shape and lead the TechOps team to provide exceptional support and organizational transformation in the energy technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Make high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions for the business
- Assist with day-to-day support across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support levels
- Maintain a broad and deep knowledge of all areas of IT, including software engineering, security, platform architecture, and UI/UX design
- Shape and define the TechOps team and support services to ensure operational excellence
- Drive organizational change and build scalable, cloud-first IT solutions
Requirements
- Experience in making high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions around the business.
- Interest and/or experience in related areas such as software engineering, security, platform architecture, UI/UX design.
- Ability to spend some time helping out with day-to-day 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support.
- Wide breadth of knowledge and experience across all areas of IT, with an immensely deep understanding of those areas.
- Current or previous roles in 3rd line support, DevOps Engineer, Systems architect, Systems designer, Systems engineer, Network Architect, Workplace technology, Solutions specialist, Solutions designer, Solutions architect, or Enterprise Architect.
- Strong understanding of cloud-first approach to IT infrastructure, with no on-premises Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle big problems and work on varying challenges across the company.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Commitment to providing a world-class support service to employees and driving organizational change.
