Job Description
A Software Engineer II role focused on developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable software for a sustainable energy platform, collaborating with a global team to create innovative solutions that support renewable energy and combat climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain high-quality, clean software code in collaboration with a global team.
- Ensure appropriate technology choices and contribute to building applications with high standards for global impact.
- Onboard new team members, maintain good documentation, and promote a positive developer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development, including designing, coding, and maintaining software applications, with a focus on building high-quality, clean, and well-documented code.
- Ability to collaborate closely with highly experienced peers as part of a global team, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in selecting appropriate technologies and ensuring software design meets high standards for global impact.
- Experience onboarding new team members and contributing to establishing a great developer experience.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery pipelines and tools such as Github, CircleCI, and Terraform Enterprise.
- Experience working with performance measurement and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry, and Cloudwatch.
- Ability to work in an environment that often employs a Kanban-like approach for project management.
- Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Experience working on SaaS platforms or cloud-based applications.
- Ability to participate in building applications designed for global impact and sustainability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and coding conventions, including open-source standards.
