Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer at KrakenFlex will develop and enhance software solutions that support the company's mission to create a smart, sustainable energy system, focusing on optimizing renewable energy, building intelligent grids, and enabling utilities to improve customer experiences in the evolving energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions for energy management and optimization
- Design and implement features to connect distributed energy resources (DERs) with energy markets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the SaaS platform and improve system performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing SaaS subscription-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of distributed energy resources (DERs) and energy markets, with the ability to digitally connect hundreds of thousands of DERs.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize renewable generation and create intelligent grid solutions.
- Experience in building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure software systems for energy industry applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in developing cloud-based applications and familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
- Knowledge of SaaS business models and subscription-based software delivery.
- Understanding of energy industry regulations, standards, and best practices is preferred but not explicitly mandatory.
