Job Description
A Senior Product Manager role focused on leading the development and management of a core workflow engine within Kraken Flow, an early-stage business process management platform, working closely with engineering teams to address technical challenges related to scale, resilience, and flexibility in a fast-growing energy technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and shape the product area within the core workflow engine team.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure product development aligns with goals.
- Manage and prioritize the development of the service that validates and executes flow configurations at scale.
- Address technical challenges related to scale, resilience, and maintainability of the platform.
- Work with cross-functional teams to configure, execute, and track business processes using the web-based platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, with a proactive approach, ideally in a technology or energy management environment.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to develop and manage technical products, particularly in a highly technical environment dealing with scale, resilience, and configuration flexibility.
- Ability to shape and define a product area that has not previously operated within a traditional product structure.
- Experience working with core workflow engine teams or similar services that validate flow configurations and execute them robustly and at scale.
- Strong understanding of technical challenges related to scale, resilience, and maintainability of configuration for users.
- Experience working in an agile environment using tools such as Notion, Asana, Figma, Github, CircleCI, Terraform Enterprise, Sentry, and CloudWatch.
- Ability to work effectively with a globally distributed product group, including working as the first PM in the Asia Pacific region.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure a strong bridge between engineering teams and other teams within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly technical teams and manage complex technical challenges.
- Willingness to be the first dedicated product manager for the core workflow engine team, taking ownership of the product area.
- Ability to operate in an early-stage product environment, managing ambiguity and defining product strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve product goals.
