Job Description
A Senior Front End Engineer responsible for developing and enhancing the company's innovative energy management platform, utilizing advanced technologies to create sustainable and customer-focused energy solutions on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain front-end features and user interfaces for energy management platforms
- Implement responsive and efficient UI components using modern front-end technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design requirements into functional code
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Front End Engineer with a focus on senior-level responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain complex front-end applications.
- Extensive experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks, specifically including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience building user interfaces that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Experience working with version control systems, particularly Git, to manage codebases collaboratively.
- Familiarity with integrating front-end components with back-end services via RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Experience with front-end build tools and package managers such as Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques to ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive user interfaces.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work in the UK or in the company's London office; remote candidates considered if they can work within UK time zones and legal requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and product managers.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of features from conception through deployment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
