Job Description
The Head of Platform Engineering - Infrastructure leads the teams responsible for developing and maintaining scalable cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and network connectivity to support Kraken's energy technology products, while defining strategic directions to enhance automation and engineering enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams responsible for cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and network connectivity.
- Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure, tooling, and services that support products.
- Collaborate with the Platform Product team to define strategic direction for Enablement.
- Ensure the engineering organization has appropriate abstractions, automation, and tools to deliver customer value.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading teams responsible for cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and network connectivity that underpin products, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain scalable infrastructure, tooling, and services.
- Experience working with Platform's Product team to define strategic direction for Enablement, ensuring the engineering organization has the right abstractions, automation, and tools to focus on delivering customer value.
- Strong leadership skills to lead and manage teams responsible for infrastructure, cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and network connectivity.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for infrastructure and platform engineering in a technology environment focused on energy and sustainability.
- Experience in creating and maintaining scalable infrastructure, tooling, and services that support product development and enable engineers to deliver with speed, safety, and confidence.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product teams and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and influence technical strategy at a senior level.
