Job Description
The Backend Developer position at Kraken Technologies involves solving complex design and technical challenges in the French energy market using Python and related technologies, while contributing to the development of a smart, sustainable energy management platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex design challenges in the French energy market.
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Python and Django.
- Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines for meter data processing.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to enhance energy management systems.
- Ensure high performance and reliability of applications through monitoring and testing.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in server-side development.
- Experience with Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL (Graphene).
- Experience with AWS and the Hashistack (e.g., Packer, Consul, Terraform) as part of a continuous deployment pipeline.
- Strong attention to detail for domain modeling in a complicated and process-heavy energy market.
- Ability to handle processing of millions of meter readings a day and feeding data into a machine learning pipeline.
- General interest in technology and problem-solving.
- Diligent and thoughtful approach to work.
