• Ensures safe working practices including chemical handling, including but not limited to SQF, PPE and OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for facility cleaning as per GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Keeps all equipment and work areas clean and free of debris.
• Sweeps and mops all floors, placing the safety signs where required.
• Cleans washrooms and breakrooms, picks up garbage and cleans the required offices.
• Cleaning of individual equipment parts, as required.
• Cleaning Grow Rooms after the harvesting of cannabis plants.
• Knows and understands the operation and function of all sanitation cleaning equipment.
• Knows the purpose and usage rate of all sanitizers and cleaning solutions.
• Notifies manager concerning the need for major repairs on equipment and process rooms.
• Follows all safety protocols including lockout-tagout, chemical handling and PPE as required.
• Empties all facility trash cans as scheduled and replaces with new liners as required.
• Manages Sanitation Storage Room: makes sure all supplies are in their appropriate area.
• Relays any stock that needs to be reordered to manager.
• Maintains daily cleaning log and schedule as directed.

• High School education.
• Previous sanitation experience in a highly regulated industry an asset.
• Good working knowledge of Department of Health sanitation requirements an asset.
• Willing to work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Willingness to learn and physical aptitude for new skillset.
• Knowledge of GPP/GMP (Good Production Practices/ Good Manufacturing Processes) an asset.
• Must be able to comply with proper protective equipment (PPE) when in the GPP/GMP area and willing to wear proper protective gear.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions to complete tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team.
• Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• Some heavy lifting may be required. The exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.
