Job Description
A Pharmacist in Charge responsible for overseeing the dispensing of medical cannabis, reviewing physician orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies within a growing cannabis company.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders for medical cannabis
- Dispense medication to patients
- Supervise pharmacy technicians' compounding activities to ensure compliance with policies and laws
- Provide consultations and guidance to patrons regarding their medical cannabis needs
Requirements
- The candidate must be a licensed Pharmacist responsible for receiving, reviewing, and interpreting physician's orders, dispensing medication to patients, and supervising compounding performed by pharmacy technicians to ensure activities are in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable state and federal law.
- The candidate must have the ability to work within a team of Pharmacy Technicians and operations personnel.
- The candidate must have a thorough understanding of applicable state and federal laws related to pharmacy operations and compounding activities.
- The candidate must be capable of supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure proper compounding procedures are followed in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
