Job Description
Itron is innovating new ways for utilities and cities to manage energy and water.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Software Engineers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to understand product architecture, business workflows, and feature implementation.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new and existing functionality.
- Execute functional , integration, exploratory, and regression testing.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and quality engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience testing REST/SOAP web service API.
- Knowledge of Java programming language .
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases .
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript and JavaScript .
- Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, Azure DevOps , or similar engineering tools.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of test automation architecture and framework design.
- Experience testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
- Experience testing event-driven systems and message brokers.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with performance, scalability, or reliability testing.
- Experience in IoT, AMI, utility, energy, or telecommunications domains.

- As we're open to considering candidates with different levels of seniority, the compensation offered for this role will depend on your experience and is expected to range between gross HUF 13,000,000 and HUF 20,000,000 annually . We review compensation regularly to stay competitive in the market.
