Job Description
A senior radar systems engineer responsible for designing, integrating, and testing radar systems across a wide frequency range, working closely with scientists and engineers to develop system specifications, analyze radar data, and support customer solutions and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and test radar systems operating from HF to 200 GHz.
- Develop specifications and architectures for radar system components from frontend to backend.
- Solve customer problems related to radar systems.
- Perform detailed analysis and testing of radar systems and data.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers on system development and testing.
- Brief customers and participate in proposal activities.
- Publish technical papers and write invention disclosures related to radar technology.
Requirements
- Strong expertise with radar systems with an emphasis on the radar frontend and backend, phased array radar systems, digital signal processing, and radar algorithms.
- Ten (10) years of experience with radars including operation, testing, and analyzing radar data.
- Proficiency in using MATLAB for developing radar waveforms and analyzing data collected by radar systems.
- Ability to program algorithms in C, MATLAB, or an equivalent programming language.
- Required education: BS, MS, or Ph.D. with experience in Radar Systems Engineering.
- Must be willing to travel and work in a team of highly skilled engineers on complex projects, and willing to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.
