Job Description
The Electrical Engineer RF Subsystems will design, develop, and test high-performance RF mmWave electrical subsystems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure functionality, reliability, and integration for advanced applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test high-performance RF mmWave electrical subsystems
- Perform preliminary and critical circuit designs using active and passive components
- Oversee fabrication, testing, and assembly of electronic modules
- Create schematic capture, PCB layouts, and fabrication documentation
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to develop thermal solutions and mechanical designs
Requirements
- Experience with Schematic Capture is required.
- Experience with PCB Layout is required.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and testing electronics circuits is required.
- Experience simulating the behavior of electronics in Spice, ADS, or similar software is required.
- Experience with RF mmW PCB development, layout, and testing is a plus.
- Experience with Altium Designer is preferred.
- Experience with design and qualification of hardware for military applications is required.
- Working knowledge of electronic sub-assemblies from the component to subsystem level, including operation, controls, and safety, is required.
- A working familiarity with characteristics and tradeoffs of today’s active and passive components and a working knowledge of the availability of COTS components is required.
- Understanding of RF components and devices is required.
- Knowledge of conventional and advanced microelectronic packaging integration and thermal management is required.
- Familiarity with digital, mixed-signal, power, and signal integrity tools is desired.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing standards such as IPC 6012, IPC-A-610, and drill tolerancing is desired.
- Proficiency in use of computers, engineering workstations, and complex electronic equipment is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to interact with vendors and colleagues effectively is required.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is required.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time is required.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance are required.

Base salary range: 128,000 - 159,900 USD
