Job Description

The Technical Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining the performance and reliability of Highland Electric Fleets' electric school bus fleet through technical expertise, fleet monitoring, remote diagnostics, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor fleet performance and reliability through remote diagnostics
  • Assess system alerts and support tickets to identify issues
  • Determine root causes of technical problems
  • Recommend appropriate solutions, including repairs or maintenance
  • Advise on actions such as customer-performed repairs, Highland maintenance, or escalation to vendors

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in fleet monitoring and remote diagnostics.
  • Ability to conduct initial assessments of system alerts and customer-submitted support tickets to identify issues, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Experience in advising on the best course of action, which may include customer-performed repairs, Highland-performed maintenance, or escalations to dealers or vendors for resolution.
