Job Description
The Senior Tax Associate will support the company's income tax lifecycle, including planning, compliance, and advisory functions, while collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate and partnership tax returns and workpapers
- Calculate and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures
- Review investee tax returns and allocate taxable income for equity investments
- Estimate current and long-term taxable income
- Conduct tax research and monitor changes in tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure tax compliance and reporting
- Assist with tax-related projects such as state nexus studies and Section 382 analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or active pursuit of CPA required
- At least three years total relevant experience, including tenure at a national public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a publicly traded company
- Strong knowledge of US corporate and partnership tax compliance is required
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes US GAAP, including relevant tax disclosures required in SEC filings, preferred
