Job Description
The Senior Analyst or Associate in Portfolio Management will support the analysis and management of renewable energy investment portfolios, focusing on behind-the-meter solar projects, and assist in due diligence for new investment opportunities in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed performance reviews of the operating portfolio, including production, revenue, and expenses.
- Manage data flows from investments and update internal databases.
- Build and manage financial models to analyze project economics and risks.
- Collaborate with portfolio management and investment teams to meet objectives.
- Prepare briefing decks and reports summarizing asset performance and improvement opportunities.
- Support due diligence processes for debt and equity investments and acquisitions.
- Analyze production data, operating expenses, and merchant curves during due diligence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
- 2-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance valuation or finance investment banking in the power sector.
- Excellent MS Excel financial modeling and data mining skills, with demonstrable experience working with complex models.
- Advanced experience using Excel is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and to assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Dependable and reliable, takes initiative, can work independently, and be a supportive team member.
- Experience working with modern data analytics and reporting tools such as Business Objects, SQL, SSMS, SSIS, R, PowerBI, Tableau is preferred.

Expected salary range of 100,000 - 147,500, based on experience and location
