Job Description
A Data Engineer at Gridmatic will work closely with ML and optimization teams to reliably ingest and transform large-scale real-world data such as weather forecasts, grid timeseries, and battery telemetry to support energy forecasting and operational decision-making in a high-growth energy startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Ingest and transform large-scale weather, grid, market, and telemetry data reliably
- Collaborate with ML and optimization teams to support data needs
- Own the data pipeline to ensure data quality and availability for operational decisions
Requirements
- Work closely with the ML and optimization teams to ingest and transform data critical to all the work done at Gridmatic.
- Take ownership of the data ingestion and transformation process to ensure data is ingested and transformed reliably.
- Experience working with large-scale weather forecast data, timeseries data from the grid and energy markets, and telemetry data from physical batteries.
- Ability to work in a startup environment with a startup-minded approach.
