Job Description
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse and materials management operations at a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting production and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping of materials and finished goods
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to lithium-ion batteries and hazardous materials
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems for accuracy and traceability
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to support just-in-time manufacturing and on-time delivery
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and material handling equipment for efficiency and cost reduction
- Support import/export compliance activities, including Free Trade Zone (FTZ) operations
- Track and report KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, safety, and productivity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred or equivalent experience considered.
- 5 years of warehouse or logistics management experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Strong knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience handling hazardous materials and dangerous goods certifications preferred.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
- Ability to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to lithium-ion batteries and hazardous materials, e.g., DOT, OSHA, EPA.
- Ability to implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and traceability of materials.
- Ability to coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to support just-in-time manufacturing and on-time delivery.
- Ability to lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and material handling equipment to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ability to support Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and import/export compliance activities as applicable.
- Ability to track and report KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, safety, and productivity.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 USD
