Job Description
The Utilities Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving industrial utility systems within a manufacturing facility, including compressed air, VOC exhaust, and wastewater treatment systems, while leading maintenance teams and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of utility maintenance engineers and technicians
- Manage operation and maintenance of industrial utility equipment, including compressed air systems, VOC exhaust and air pollution control equipment, and wastewater treatment systems
- Perform equipment inspections, establish maintenance standards, and develop preventive maintenance plans
- Troubleshoot utility equipment failures and abnormal operating conditions to ensure high equipment availability
- Support daily operation, commissioning, and performance optimization of utility systems
- Develop and implement technical improvements and reliability enhancements for utility equipment
- Support the introduction of new utility technologies and equipment upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Maintain equipment documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records
- Collaborate with production, EHS, and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial utilities, facilities, or plant engineering.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following systems: Compressed air systems, VOC exhaust or air pollution control systems, Wastewater treatment systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience with industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
