Job Description
This role involves providing technical pre-sales support and account management for energy storage systems (ESS) projects, collaborating with sales, R&D, and customers to ensure successful design, implementation, and product development, while driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support and develop documentation and training to ensure high-quality design and minimal post-sales issues.
- Manage technical account engagements pre- and post-sales to develop and communicate comprehensive design, installation, and operational plans.
- Support utility-scale and commercial projects with customized design solutions to ensure design wins and cost savings.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback and technical issues to R&D and Product Management for product improvements.
- Lead product management and development of market training, tools, and best practice resources.
- Coordinate field testing and collect feedback on new hardware and software.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to address technical issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers and partners on ESS system applications, including evaluation and teaming with system providers and software integrators.
- Develop technical documentation such as specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and proposals.
- Work with sales teams to deliver technical support, prioritize account opportunities, and ensure project success.
- Coordinate with R&D and design teams to prepare ESS products for market and support technical test requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Management on technical tools, training, and adoption strategies.
- Act as a sales focal point for technical feedback and solutions to product management.
- Manage the technical pipeline to ensure qualified projects receive appropriate pre-sales support.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or a Master of Science (MS) degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in ESS engineering design, technical pre-sales support, and project management.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subject matter with external partners and customers.
- Strong networking and communication expertise.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally, domestically, and at times internationally.
