The General Accountant is responsible for executing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. This role supports financial reporting, account reconciliation, fixed-asset tracking, inventory accounting, and internal/external audit requests. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and management presentations.
• Account Reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for cash, AP, AR, payroll, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, and other key accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain reconciliation documentation following internal control requirements.
• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Support
• Review vendor invoices, three-way match, and cost allocations when needed.
• Support customer invoicing, credit memos, and payment application.
• Monitor aging schedules and follow up with internal teams.
• Fixed Asset & Capital Expenditure Accounting
• Track capital projects, monitor CIP balances, and process asset capitalization.
• Maintain fixed-asset ledgers, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Inventory & Cost Accounting Support
• Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and monthly close entries.
• Review BOM, production variances, and SAP data when applicable.
• Support Finance & Operations teams on inventory-related issues.
• Compliance & Audit
• Provide support for annual financial audits, tax filings, and internal controls testing.
• Maintain organized audit files and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance accuracy.
• Participate in ERP/SAP implementation, testing, and process enhancement projects.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and reporting workflows.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90k –$110k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
