Job Description
The EHS Specialist at Gotion Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and hazard-free manufacturing environment, while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, fall protection, confined space entry, emergency response, and environmental compliance
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify hazards and recommend control measures
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to promote safety awareness and regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and support environmental permitting and reporting activities
- Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and exercises
- Collect, analyze, and report EHS data, track KPIs, and identify trends for continuous improvement
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure standards compliance
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations such as OSHA and EPA.
- Experience in conducting hazard assessments, risk analyses, and incident investigations.
- Strong understanding of EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
