Job Description
The EHS Specialist at Gotion Inc. is responsible for developing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe workplace, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through hazard assessments, incident investigations, training, and safety audits in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify hazards and recommend controls
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes and suggest corrective actions
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to promote safety awareness and regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and support environmental permitting and reporting
- Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and exercises
- Collect, analyze, and report EHS data to track performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to EHS standards
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Experience in conducting hazard assessments, risk analyses, and incident investigations.
- Strong understanding of EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
