Job Description
The Chief Engineer at Gotion Inc. leads the development and delivery of advanced battery products for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, ensuring customer satisfaction, product quality, and project success throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and production of battery products to meet customer demands from RFIs/RFQs through six months post-production
- Ensure customer satisfaction by aligning product development with timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams on product design, production, quality, and delivery
- Participate in commercial contract discussions and support the customer purchase order process
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address quality, reliability, and service issues
- Analyze customer integration and implement improvement actions based on quality and reliability insights
- Support sales team with RFI and RFQ processes
- Lead product development activities including APQP, PPAP, ISO TS 16949, and project management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with the battery manufacturing process.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrification work experience.
- Knowledge of high voltage batteries, new energy vehicles, and energy storage systems.
- Good oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience at EV component supplier or OEM.
- Responsible as lead for product APQP, PPAP, ISO TS 16949, project management, marketing competition analysis, product knowledge, offer, and contract management.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites as required.
- Team leadership skills.
Benefits & Perks
US base salary range of $130,000.00 - $156,000.00 plus 15% bonus benefits
