Job Description
The job involves overseeing financial operations, including consolidation and inter-company eliminations, managing financial audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role also includes coordinating training programs for staff and implementing financial policies aligned with the company's strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee consolidation and inter-company elimination entries monthly
- Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs
- Plan and implement policies and procedures aligned with financial strategy
- Manage financial operations including payables, cash receipts, and assets
- Oversee technical accounting such as ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Lead the annual financial audit
- Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Review and approve monthly account reconciliations
- Own month and year-end close processes
- Review financial results versus budget and prior periods
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
- Oversee filing of sales use and personal property tax returns
- Collaborate with outside CPA firm on corporate income tax returns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
- CPA highly desired
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong knowledge of general ledger and consolidations accounting
- 2 years as a people manager
- 3 years of Big 4 experience and 3 years of private industry experience are strongly desired
- Ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute in a high-pressure environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc., and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
- Knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842 is a must
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams

Compensation/salary range: 110,000 - 140,000 USD
