Job Description

The Project Controls & Reporting Lead owns the control environment for the project portfolio — cost, progress, commercial status and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Own and maintain project cost and commercial controls, including BoQ baselines, scope changes, invoicing, cash-flow forecasting, and variation tracking.
Monitor project costs, margins, commitments, and actual spend, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Support contract administration, including claims, change orders, payment milestones, and invoice reconciliation.
Maintain project schedules and baselines, tracking milestones, critical paths, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Consolidate project progress data and provide forward-looking reporting to identify schedule, resource, and delivery risks.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards covering cost, progress, contract status, and overall portfolio performance.
Automate and standardize reporting and data processes using Power Automate, Power Query, SQL, and other project control tools.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across project reporting, with appropriate reconciliation and audit controls.
Prepare and present monthly project reviews to senior leadership, translating financial and schedule data into clear insights and recommendations.
Partner with Project Managers, Finance, Tendering, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams while promoting consistent project controls standards and ways of working.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience spanning documentation control, contract financial analysis, data analysis and project services within a large engineering or industrial organization.
Demonstrated ownership of cost, progress and contract reporting on a mega-programmed, including BoQ generation, scope-to-item analysis and tracking of invoiced, remaining and not-yet-started scope.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven experience managing cashflow and invoicing data flows in partnership with Finance, with a measurable reduction in billing disputes.
Experience supporting operations across multiple regions.
