Job Description

Join GE Vernova's New Ventures & Strategy team and help shape what the company builds next to power the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

Own the venture evaluation process: Manage the day-to-day operations of a multi-stage venture evaluation pipeline, identifying friction points and proposing and implementing fixes.
Build dashboards and reporting tools: Personally design and build the dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into the opportunity pipeline — a from-scratch build, not a handoff to another team.
Apply AI hands-on: Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar generative AI platforms) to pull together and organize data from multiple sources, building working tools and refining them based on feedback.
Standardize intake: Create and roll out templates and stakeholder questionnaires for evaluating new opportunities, improving them based on how they're actually used.
Translate strategy into action: Turn leadership's strategic direction into working processes and tools, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements along the way.
Coordinate across teams: Run cross-functional working sessions with engineering, sourcing, legal, and finance colleagues to resolve bottlenecks and keep initiatives moving.
Brief leadership: Prepare clear, concise materials that turn complex information into action-ready recommendations.
You'll do this work with significant ownership over your own approach: leadership will set clear priorities and outcomes, and you'll decide how to get there, bringing solutions forward and knowing when to flag something for input.
You're likely a strong fit if you've already built and shipped working tools — not just written recommendations about what could be built — and you're excited by the idea of helping shape a multi-billion-dollar strategy from the ground up.

Requirements

Enough financial literacy to interpret basic business case metrics such as Net Present Value (NPV) and Return on Investment (ROI), with guidance available as needed
Experience working effectively across time zones with a geographically remote manager or team
Strategy or consulting background, paired with genuine hands-on building experience
A formal education and Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field (engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, or a related area) is a plus, but we are most interested in your overall experience and what you've built.

Benefits & Perks

Direct, high-visibility exposure to senior leadership and real strategic decisions
Ownership over your own tools and ways of working, including the use of AI
A close-up view of how GE Vernova builds new ventures in grid technology, energy storage, and the broader energy transition
Room to grow as this function and your scope expand
GE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works. We offer a robust, competitive benefits package designed to support your personal and family needs, along with ongoing opportunities for on-the-job learning and career growth as our New Ventures & Strategy function continues to scale.
