You design, develop, and improve the tools and fixtures that keep precision turbine manufacturing running. Based at GE Vernova's production site in Birr, you will be part of the Betriebsmittelkonstruktion (BMK) team — a specialist group responsible for the full lifecycle of production tooling, measuring equipment, and manufacturing resources for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors.
IMPORTANT – MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Language: Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory requirements for this position.
Work Authorization: Candidates must be eligible to work in Switzerland. For this position, we can consider Swiss, EU/EFTA nationals, or candidates who already hold a valid Swiss work permit allowing them to take up employment in Switzerland. We are unable to sponsor work permits.

What you’ll do
• Manage the design and construction of specialized tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors
• Ensure the availability and on-time delivery of all required operating resources through internal manufacturing or external partners
• Define and optimize tool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and engineering
• Develop machining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and related master data
• Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews
• Monitor process performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as needed
