Job Description

GEVernova’s Grid Solutions business electrifies the world with advanced grid technologies and systems, enabling power transmission and distribution across the power grid, and supporting a decarbonized and secured energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in lean manufacturing activities including 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), Daily Management, Kaizen (continuous improvement) events, and Standard Work development.
Design and build racks, carts, and workstations in the moonshine shop (an on-site space where team members prototype and test improvement ideas).
Support continuous improvement projects from start to finish, staying on track with timelines.
Work alongside team members across the production floor to identify and solve problems.
Communicate clearly and openly with your team and other departments about project status and progress.

Requirements

You are someone who takes ownership of your work, communicates openly, and genuinely enjoys finding better ways to get things done.
Experience with lean manufacturing methods (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Daily Management)
Interest in process improvement and building physical prototypes or workstation designs
This is a hands-on role. You'll regularly walk the production floor, use your hands to build and design, lift up to 35 pounds on occasion, and use a computer for design and communication tasks. Close vision is required for reading and computer work.
