Key Responsibilities
Application Evaluation: Perform hands-on testing of new Distribution Management applications to assess their functionality, reliability, and integration capabilities within our existing power system environments.
Test Development: Design and build comprehensive test cases to validate application performance, edge cases, and user requirements, ensuring all new features meet rigorous quality standards.
Deployment Feasibility: Analyze software requirements to determine if new applications can be deployed using standard industry tooling, specifically leveraging GitOps principles and ArgoCD for automated deployments within Linux-based environments .
Quality Assurance & Debugging: Actively "stress test" new products by identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs. You will work closely with development teams to verify fixes and ensure a seamless end-user experience.
Technical Documentation: Translate complex software features into user-friendly training materials, including technical guides, how-to videos, and internal knowledge-base articles to assist grid operators and engineers.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Fundamental understanding of electric power distribution systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for software quality.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
