Job Description

GE Vernova builds the technology that powers the world — and our Bangor, Maine manufacturing team turns designs into precision parts that fuel systems people depend on every day.

Key Responsibilities

GE Vernova builds the technology that powers the world — and our Bangor, Maine manufacturing team turns designs into precision parts that fuel systems people depend on every day. We're looking for a CNC programmer who can translate engineering specs into reliable, repeatable production processes. You'll write and optimize CNC programs, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and help introduce new products from concept to full production — working side-by-side with a team that takes pride in getting it right.
Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing production parts
Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment selection
Validate design specifications against shop floor capability for new products, tools, or equipment
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing methods that meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) goals
Troubleshoot CNC processes and resolve production issues using hands-on problem-solving
Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement across the production line
Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure your work supports broader site goals

Requirements

You're a hands-on CNC programmer who's comfortable owning a process from first part to full production, and you enjoy solving problems on the floor as much as at a workstation.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university, or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of manufacturing or operations experience
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on CNC Programming experience
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine
Strong oral and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
Experience with NC Programming/CAM software
Basic project management skills
A formal education and Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering is nice to have, but we're most interested in your total experience and professional achievements — your CNC programming background is what matters most here.
GE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works. We offer a robust benefits package designed to support your personal and family needs, reward strong performance, and invest in your continued growth through on-the-job learning and development.
GE Vernova will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable).
