  • Manage the company’s trucking assets, including tracking, maintenance, and readiness for operations.
  • Oversee equipment inventory and condition, such as lift gates, reefer units, and additional add-ons.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate asset list/registry, tracking the condition, maintenance history, and operational status of all truck assets. Regularly update records to reflect changes in asset allocation or condition.
  • Provide technical guidance on truck box builds, ensuring the use of durable materials and robust construction to meet operational specifications.
  • Manage the movement of trucks and assets to support operational needs. Ensure timely delivery and positioning of fleet assets across required locations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure quality products at cost-effective prices.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize asset longevity.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including asset inspections and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for vehicle registrations and certifications.
  • Manage budgets related to truck assets, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in truck box upfitting, asset management, and transport coordination.
  • Proven experience in managing fleet assets and vendor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of truck box builds, materials, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with lift gates, refrigeration units, and other truck-mounted equipment.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
