Job Description
The Autonomous Vehicle Operator at Gatik is responsible for safely operating box trucks for on-time deliveries, collecting data to support automated driving technology, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck delivery vehicles in manual modes.
- Manually drive vehicles on assigned routes to gather route data.
- Ensure timely arrival of vehicles at pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Assist with safe loading and unloading of customer goods.
- Update dispatch team on shift and route status.
- Perform daily routine checks on trucks for operation and safety.
- Collaborate with teams to follow collection and drop-off procedures.
- Learn and adhere to company standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating box straight trucks up to 26-35 ft long in North America (US or CN) with a valid AZ through DZ driver's license.
- Insurability by our underwriting, including a clean driving record (personal and professional) and background check.
- Ability to use smartphone applications and willingness to provide your mobile device.
- This job often requires physical work including, but not limited to bending, stooping, and various operation tasks that may require lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing a ladder, and operating a manual pallet jack with up to 400 lbs (181 kg) of goods and material.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours on both weekdays and weekends.
