Job Description
The Traveling Solar Installer Field Trainer is responsible for training field installation teams and ensuring the quality of their workmanship, requiring expertise in solar installations, electrical tie-ins, and relevant codes. This role involves designing training programs, assessing employee skills, and fostering a culture of learning and competency within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Train field install teams on solar installation processes
- Oversee the quality of field teams' workmanship
- Design and develop training programs based on organizational needs
- Communicate expectations to field teams
- Assess and coach employees to advance their skills
Requirements
- An expert-level understanding of electrical tie-ins, code, and one-line diagrams is required.
- The Field Trainer must have an excellent understanding of how to efficiently complete high-quality solar installations.
- The successful candidate will need to communicate to the field team about what is expected and to help the team develop the competency and skills required to perform efficiently in the workplace.
- You will also need to be able to assess and coach employees, help advance their skills, and be enthusiastic about learning.
