Job Description
A Commercial Solar Installer at Freedom Solar Power is responsible for installing solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW on commercial projects across the nation, involving travel and teamwork, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW
- Assist with the electrical, construction, or solar-specific tasks involved in system installation
- Travel extensively (mostly 4 weeks out) to project sites for installation work
- Collaborate with a crew of installers to complete solar system installations efficiently
- Ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards during installation
Requirements
- Experience in construction, electrical, or solar installation with the ability to join a crew of solar installers to install solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW.
- Ability to travel 90% of the time, mostly 4 weeks out at a time, with occasional weekend travel work required.
- Based out of Austin, TX, and willing to work in that location.
- Demonstrated dedication, humility, and hardworking attitude suitable for a commercial solar installer role.
