Job Description
COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Forbright is a nationwide full-service bank and commercial lender focused on helping to build a brighter future for our clients and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Bank's self-service banking strategy in alignment with overall business goals
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for digital account opening and online banking platforms
- Maintain and troubleshoot technical issues related to digital platforms
- Provide technical support to business partners and internal teams
- Develop and maintain internal technical documentation
- Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to validate technical feasibility
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement platform enhancements
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Stay current with emerging digital trends and evaluate their potential impact
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for digital banking
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technology required preferably in Financial Services and/or Banking
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a front end or full stack developer, preferably within financial services required
- Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture) and cloud computing principles
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documentation, including API specifications, sequence diagrams, and detailed system designs
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL; Experience with Python highly preferred
- Proven experience working on integrating various platforms such as Q2, Alloy, MANTL, Finxact, or similar online banking platforms is highly desirable, including understanding their APIs, data structures, and implementation methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the Bank
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
- Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach
