Job Description
The role involves serving as a Technical Consultant focusing on RDBMS administration, troubleshooting, and optimization within ArcGIS Enterprise systems, with opportunities to expand into enterprise IT and geospatial technology consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Technical Consultant for ArcGIS Enterprise systems focusing on RDBMS analysis, refactoring, and optimization.
- Perform enterprise migration, troubleshooting, and system recovery activities related to RDBMS and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Lead and support database upgrades, deployments, and challenge resolution for enterprise GIS systems.
- Apply knowledge of data tier technologies such as NoSQL, object stores, SAN, and NAS to complement RDBMS solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to solve complex technical challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in implementing and supporting RDBMS GIS systems.
- Experience in database administration.
- Fluency with SQL for analytical objectives, data transformation, and procedure function logic.
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with server systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to customers, executives, other technical staff, or non-technical staff.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field.
