Job Description

The Technical Consultant at Esri Professional Services will lead enterprise GIS implementations and spatial analytics projects, providing technical advisory and implementation expertise to clients across various sectors. This role involves advising customers on innovative solutions using Esri technology, managing client engagements, and driving business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise GIS implementations and spatial analytics projects.
  • Advise customers on innovative solutions using Esri technology.
  • Prepare implementation and migration strategies for customers.
  • Design and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
  • Provide configuration guidance and best practices to customers.
  • Collaborate with customer IT organizations to align technical objectives with Esri technology.
  • Support business development for technology and implementation patterns.
  • Identify the value of location within customer workflows.
  • Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions that leverage the ArcGIS platform desktop, server, and online.
  • Strong programming and scripting experience with Python, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and/or other RDBMS and server environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise system integration including ERP, EAM, CRM, and SCM.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing multiple simultaneous client engagements.
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented architectures and cloud configurations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts including spatial analysis and map projections.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, GIS, or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
