Job Description
This role involves deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced ArcGIS systems across various environments, consulting with clients on enterprise GIS solutions, and supporting migration and integration efforts to meet organizational needs within the Department of Defense and intelligence communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure ArcGIS deployments across various environments to meet service level agreements
- Plan and execute content migration between different ArcGIS architectures and deployment strategies
- Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, focusing on platform components such as storage, networking, and security
- Collaborate with customers and partners to design, identify, and certify GIS workflows on the ArcGIS platform
- Support and optimize enterprise ArcGIS systems through system administration and technical guidance
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of professional experience in a similar position supporting responsibilities such as deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating enterprise GIS systems, specifically ArcGIS or comparable IT systems.
- Experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems including desktop, server, and online environments.
- Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C.
- Familiarity with network concepts and topics such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load-balancing.
- Experience with at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), including SQL query writing skills, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- U.S. citizenship and the willingness and ability to maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
