Job Description
This role involves deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced ArcGIS systems across various environments, supporting enterprise GIS solutions for high-profile clients, and collaborating with customers to optimize GIS workflows and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure ArcGIS deployments across various environments to meet service level agreements
- Plan and execute content migration between different ArcGIS architectures and deployment strategies
- Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, focusing on platform components such as storage, networking, and security
- Collaborate with customers and partners to design, identify, and certify GIS workflows on the ArcGIS platform
- Support and advise on enterprise ArcGIS system administration, including installation, maintenance, and optimization
Requirements
- 8 years of professional experience in a similar position supporting responsibilities such as implementing advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyzing and solving technical problems, and optimizing performance and organization.
- Experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems including desktop, server, and online platforms.
- Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, Javascript, or C.
- Familiarity with network concepts and topics such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load-balancing.
- Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- U.S. citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
