Job Description
A GIS expert specializing in defense and intelligence workflows, responsible for crafting innovative geospatial solutions, providing technical leadership, and advising customers on complex GIS strategies to address critical business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that demonstrate business value and address critical challenges for defense and intelligence clients
- Define and deliver complex strategies aligning Esri technology with customer business needs
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in GIS, defense, and intelligence communities
- Build relationships with technical decision-makers and lead technical meetings to drive revenue
- Design and deliver presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, including at conferences and executive engagements
- Provide configuration guidance, best practices, and support for Esri software and solutions
- Share knowledge and coach team members on GIS best practices
- Troubleshoot client issues related to Esri software and system integrations
Requirements
- Five years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- Three years of experience in the defense and intelligence community.
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
- Understanding of business development processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri software.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience integrating business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography or GIS, computer science, or a related field.
- Applicants must be a US Citizen, undergo a background investigation, and obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility requirements for a Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS SCI, or TS SCI with polygraph.
