Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising clients on complex spatial analysis solutions using Esri technology, demonstrating the value of GIS, and supporting sales and technical implementations across various industries in the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and support the sale of Esri software and solutions
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision makers to drive revenue
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in GIS technology and industry-specific solutions
- Develop complex GIS solutions aligned with customer business needs
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences
- Troubleshoot client issues related to Esri applications and system architecture
- Share knowledge and coach team members on best practices
- Propose innovative GIS solutions that demonstrate business value
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience in various industries
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Mastery of English and other languages as needed, both verbal and written
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
