Job Description
A Senior Software Developer at Esri's Field Apps team will design and build high-performance iOS applications that support real-time, location-aware field operations, focusing on complex challenges such as offline data synchronization and mapping, to enable professionals worldwide to make critical decisions in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test iOS applications with a focus on performance and user experience
- Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process
- Understand and implement solutions for real-world scenarios such as field mapping and data collection
- Solve complex technical challenges like offline data synchronization, real-time mapping, and device integration
- Develop software components for field mapping, sensor networks, and navigation applications
- Advocate for iOS development best practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Be an Apple enthusiast and a game changer
- 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in Objective-C and/or Swift
- Experience with Xcode
- Experience developing with the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch APIs
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience addressing app development issues related to performance optimization and caching
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to thrive in an environment that changes often
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
