Job Description
A project management and consulting role leading the implementation of GIS and maritime solutions for government and intelligence clients, focusing on delivering complex projects, developing business strategies, and advising on innovative Esri technologies within the maritime domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project implementation, including requirements analysis, design, build, configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver solutions aligned with customer objectives.
- Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Engage with customers to understand their workflows and develop proposals to meet their needs.
- Drive business development by defining project strategies, preparing proposals, and securing new work.
- Manage and lead a team of maritime experts, developers, and consultants to support strategic initiatives.
- Advise customers on innovative GIS solutions and develop strategies for implementation and migration.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
- Experience supporting maritime customers and knowledge of maritime products and specifications including S-57 and S-100
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate customer s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal, written verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers or customers
- Entrepreneurial mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
- Proposal writing experience, including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field
