Job Description

A product management role focused on developing and promoting Esri's next-generation network technology for utility and telecom industries, involving customer engagement, product strategy, and technical communication to support modernization of asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and prioritize end-user and administrator feedback to influence product development.
  • Provide product expertise to understand customer business needs and guide software direction.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements to align product strategy and resource allocation.
  • Assist sales, marketing, and partner teams with demos and presentations of utility network capabilities.
  • Create and deliver messaging through blogs and documentation about the utility network's functionality and benefits.
  • Brief senior management on network technology development, timelines, and customer status.
  • Support internal teams, partners, and customers with information on current and upcoming product releases.
  • Apply domain knowledge of utilities and telecoms to inform development and educate stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a product role involving engineering, development, support, or related functions.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in the utility and telecom industries.
  • Ability to research customer problems and synthesize them into product requirements.
  • Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to various teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience giving presentations to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong leadership skills, including guiding teams through decision-making, achieving consensus, and balancing multiple perspectives.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field.
